Today, more than 30% of Milestone systems remain in use after 15 years, a testament to their durability and the value they continue to deliver over time.
This long-life philosophy goes beyond system design and translates into concrete actions to further reduce environmental impact:
- Many of our newest innovations are backward compatible, allowing older systems to be upgraded when components are outdated or no longer available, extending the useful life of the equipment.
- We refurbish and requalify key components for reuse, offering them as sustainable alternatives to new parts and minimizing waste generation.
- Through our Take-Back Program, we collect obsolete or non-functioning units. Where possible, these are refurbished and returned to use. Otherwise, functional components are recovered to support other users, and remaining materials are properly separated and recycled as valuable raw materials.
