Achieving the lowest possible detection limits with ICP-OES and ICP-MS by minimizing contamination and blanks

The analytical instrument is just one component in achieving the lowest limits of detection using plasma spectrochemistry. The other critical area that puts significant demands on a laboratory’s overall detection capability is to ensure that the sample preparation procedure does not contribute any additional sources of contamination.

Publication Announcement: Evaluation of recycle and reuse of nitric acid from sample digests by sub-boiling distillation

New paper publication titled "Evaluation of recycle and reuse of nitric acid from sample digests by sub-boiling distillation" has just been published on Microchemical Journal. In short, the article shows that acid digestion waste can be recycled (through a sub-boiling purification process) and reused, without compromising the quality of the analytical results, with clear benefits in costs and for the environmental health.
