The unique flexibility of START
Teaching Lab Kit
16-position rotor allows reactions to be
reproduced in up to 16 glass vessels. Several students can simultaneously
carry out the same reactions described
in the QuickSTART Handbook or
d eveloped by the instructor in the
Research Lab Kit.
To ensure the maximum standards of
safety, all reactions are carried out at
normal pressure (reflux valve) or at
limited pressure 1.5 bar-20 psi (gravity
valve).
By fitting each vessel with a gravity
valve, temperatures slightly higher than
the boiling point of the solvent can be
attained. The result is a further
reduction of the reaction time while at
the same time ensuring safe operating
conditions.
Research Lab Kit
Advanced organic research can now
be carried out using the same
microwave platform with a high
degree of flexibility. The unique
MonoPREP module was designed to
carry out reaction optimization safely
with a single 12 ml or 50 ml glass
vessel. The kit includes a reflux valve, a
limited pressure valve, and special
high pressure valves, for temperatures
up to 180°C with a pressure limit of 15
bar (225 psi). Rapid cooling is ensured
by the special air flow pattern.
- Enhanced reporting.
The time/temperature curve of the
reaction carried out by the researcher
can be documented for GLP or QA
purposes by simply connecting the
terminal to a commercial printer.
- Scalability.
The reactions optimized in the
MonoPREP can be easily transferred to
the Teaching Lab Kit, where up to 16
students will be able to reproduce
them simultaneously, or scaled up to
the 500 ml NP batch reactor.
