Advanced Reaction Sensors
The MicroSYNTH is equipped with the most advanced reaction sensors, including contact-less temperature and pressure control in all vessels, and direct temperature and pressure control in a single reference vessel.
Direct temperature control: the ATC Automatic Temperature Control system by fiber optic enables direct continuous monitoring and control of a reference vessel in the carousel.
The temperature sensor is housed in a thermowell and protected from chemical attack by a multiple layer of PTFE and inert material, ensuring trouble-free operation.
- Contact-less temperature control in all vessels: the MicroSYNTH features a focused, high sensitivity infrared sensor for contact-less temperature monitor and control of all vessels, with individual temperature profiles for each vessel.
Direct pressure control: the APC Automatic Pressure Control system enables direct monitoring and control of a reference vessel up to 55 bar. Pressure monitoring and control are ideal for highly reactive organic samples or ‘unknowns’, and for method development, to maintain pressure limits within the vessel’s specifications.
Furthermore, a contact-less sensors monitors the solvent vapor concentration in the microwave cavity, effectivily controlling all vessels.
- TEMP-SURE temperature control in all vessels: the TEMP-SURE results from a combination of fiber optic, infrared, and a unique microprocessor controlled rotor positioning system. This enables the software to identify which vessel is passing in front of the infrared sensor while the rotor is turning. The software correlates the internal and the external temperatures with the ID code of the vessel. The TEMP-SURE allows for a full documentation of the temperature in all vessels, thus facilitating the reaction scale-up.
