Milestone was founded in 1988 with the mission to provide chemists around the world with advanced microwave platforms on which to accelerate all their sample preparation requirements.
With a global installed base of over 12,000 systems covering 70% of Fortune 500 companies, as well as large and small research institutions, universities and laboratories, we are well on the path to achieve our mission.
Since our beginning, the breadth of our microwave technology has expanded to include a broad range of techniques, including microwave accelerated digestion, extraction, ashing, and organic synthesis, as well as instrumentation for clean chemistry and mercury analysis

Milestone's organization
Milestone headquarter is based in Sorisole (Bergamo), 50 Km north of Milan, with facilities
covering
over 4,000 sq meters (40,000 sq ft). Large seminar rooms and advanced application laboratories are available.
Milestone products satisfy the strictest European (CE) safety regulations.Milestone's North American headquarter is located in Shelton, Connecticut, with fully equipped application laboratories.
Milestone's strong presence in Japan is assured by Milestone General KK, in the Tokyo area. In Korea by Milestone Korea located in Seoul. All three countries have sales, service and application labs to give support to Milestone customers.
