UltraWAVE can replace open vessel digestion, high pressure ashing and even block digestion in many applications.

START MOD

Microwave Open-vessel Digestion System

Milestone’s innovative START MOD system allows rapid simultaneous microwave digestion of 8 large organic samples in open vessels, with sample size up to several grams.
Large samples, are desirable in a variety of applications, to serve as a more representative portion of a larger sample bulk, or to compensate for limitations in the sensitivity of the analytical instrument.

Clean Chemistry

During trace and ultra-trace elemental analysis a number of external factors (such as reagent purity, cross contamination, etc.) that can critically impact the quality of the results.
The inability to control the analytical blank (its chemical composition, its measurement, its effective control) is often the primary source of error and the limiting factor for trace analysis.

Milestone has developed an innovative and complete line of systems and accessories for control and reduction of the analytical blank in ICP-MS, ICP-AES and GFAA.
These instruments are dedicated to acid purification, ultratrace cleaning of vessels and reduction of contamination from vessel surface.

DuoPUR and SubPUR

The DuoPUR is sub-boiling distillation system which enables laboratories to produce ultra-pure acids from reagent-grade stock to keep the overall blank at the lowest level.
The DuoPUR is the most economic, efficient and safe purification system: up to 90% of the costs are saved and high productivity is granted (up to 3 liters in 8 hours).

TraceCLEAN

Automatic acid reflux system

Milestone’s new TraceCLEAN is an automated, closed, acid reflux system that thoroughly and safely cleans digestion vessels, inserts and AA, ICP, ICP-MS accessories.
The main benefit of this system is that any trace metal contaminants that are present in the cleaning acid stay within the reservoir and do not come in contact with the cleaned trace accessories.

The hazards of mercury contamination make accurate mercury's detection extremely important. In fact, over the past century the amount of mercury released into the biosphere has dramatically increased. Contamination sources include medical and hazardous waste incineration and industrial waste.

Direct Mercury Analyzer

Milestone’s DMA-80 Direct Mercury Analyzer effortlessly analyzes liquid, gas and solid samples without sample digestion and wet chemistry pre-treatment steps and any waste disposal.
The DMA-80 is fast: just 5 minutes per sample are required. 40 samples can be automatically processed in less than 4 hours, start to finish.
An intuitive controller uploads sample weights, controls the analysis and processes data with built-in report generation and networking capabilities.

Direct Mercury Analyzer for Liquids

The new Milestone DMA-80L is designed to perform fast, precise and extremely sensitive determination of mercury from 0,01 to 1.000 ng in water-based samples and digestates, from the digestion of solids with high Mercury content.

NEOS

Rapid, Solvent-Free Microwave Extraction (SFME) of Essential Oils

The NEOS system allows rapid extraction of essential oils from aromatic herbs, spices and dry seeds. These novel processes can produce essential oil in concentrate form, free from any residual solvents, contaminants, or artefacts.
The NEOS system confirms that microwave isolation offers net advantages in terms of yield and selectivity, with better isolation time,
essential oil composition, and is environmental friendly.

NEOS GR

Microwave Hydrodiffusion and Gravity (MHG) System

The NEOS-GR is based on a new and green technique for the extraction of essential oils. This green extraction is an original “upside down” microwave alembic combining microwave heating and earth gravity at atmospheric pressure without solvents. This green method allows to extract essential oils without distillation (80% of the total analytical procedure) and evaporation which are the most energy consuming between the unit operations. It requires no more than 30 minutes, instead of 3 hours!

Microwave Ashing

Microwave ashing is a breakthrough for quality control and rapid sample preparation.
The determination of ash content, whether for process control or as a preparation method for other analytical techniques, is an important test performed daily in thousands of laboratories. While ashing is a relatively simple process, conventional muffle furnaces are inefficient in a number of respects which often leads to the process being tedious and time consuming. An alternative to muffle furnaces, electrical resistance furnaces, are typically costly to maintain due to high energy consumption. Additionally, both of these types of instruments have a tendency to diffuse heat making the surrounding laboratory environment uncomfortable due to heat and odors.

Microwave Ashing System

The PYRO represents a highly efficient alternative to conventional muffle furnaces. The PYRO dramatically reduces ashing times, from hours to minutes. It offers the fastest and most versatile way to ash your samples. The PYRO systems' unique design eliminates equipment corrosion and acid fume pollution, greatly reducing analyst exposure to acid fumes.

PYRO SA Sulphate Ashing System

The PYRO SA Sulphate Ashing system is identical to the PYRO, but it is equipped with the Sulphate Ashing Module and the VAC-1000 Acid Scrubber.
Preliminary charring step, tedious handling and monitoring of samples, and operator exposures to acid fumes, are eliminated.

PYRO XL

For Extra Large Amounts

The PYRO XL is specifically developed to allow the analytst to process multiple crucibles, contraining a combined total of up to 100 grams of sample, simultaneously. Application problems generated by high volumes of sample like polymers, petroleum, food and feed and pharmaceutical samples are a challenge no more thanks to the innovation of the PYRO XL.
