The DMA-80 is the bench-mark production the field of direct mercury analysis. 
Since its introduction in 1999, over 700 units have been installed worldwide. Milestone is the only company that directly develops, engineers, manufactures and sells (through its network of exclusive distributors) a dedicated mercury analyzer.
Our DMA-80 has received along the last few years a number of improvements, and we are pleased to release today the newest enhancements to this successful product.
NEW DMA-80 SOFTWARE REV. 02D AND ADDITIONAL SAMPLE TRAY
The most important features of the new software rev. 02D are the following:
- Handling of a second sample tray
- Automatic usage diagnosis
- Automatic blank
- More complete LIMS capabilities
Handling of a second sample tray
This is probably the most important innovation.
While the DMA-80 is running, the software allows the user to prepare a second set of 40 samples on a separate sample tray.
When the last sample of tray #1 is completed, the tray is removed and the tray #2 is positioned onto the DMA-80.
The main advantage associated with this new feature is the capability to run the DMA-80 continuously, without any interruption; while one tray is in use, the second one can be prepared. Therefore, its productivity becomes basically unlimited.
A clear benefit for the instrument sample throughput.
Automatic usage diagnosis
At the end of each analytical cycle, the software displays the number of runs carried out by the catalyst and by the amalgamator.
Automatic blank
This is a very important feature when handling unknown samples.
When a user preset mercury content is exceeded by a sample (for instance 100 ng), the software automatically runs a blank until the mercury value returns below 0,1 ng, to avoid contamination and memory effect to the next sample.
More complete LIMS capabilities
It is now possible to export data in various formats, including *.XLS and *.CSV.
