The latest innovation from our R&D Department is the Automatic Door Locking System!

The Automatic Door Locking System offers a real advantage toward in term of added safety: in fact, this device further enhances the overall safety of the ETHOS 1 and the MicroSYNTH as it does not allow the user to open the door of the microwave unit at the end of the microwave program, untill the internal temperature of the vessels has reached the preset value.

Therefore, it avoids the misuse of the instrument, as the operator can't remove the pressure vessels from the mcrowave unit untill they have reached the room temperature.

The Automatic Door Locking System consists in an electo-magnetic piston, which acts as a lock for one of the door hinges.
The electo-magnetic piston is automatically and fully controlled by the instrument software and it locks the door when the vessels internal temperature is in excess of the preset value, tipically about 50 degrees Celsius.
